The Fareof browser companion performs LinkedIn actions in your Chrome session. Discovery runs on the server, but LinkedIn work needs the paired browser. Your LinkedIn password and cookies stay in Chrome.
Install the current companion
- Sign in to Fareof and open LinkedIn setup or Settings. Use the companion download offered inside the app.
- For the current unpacked companion, unzip the download. Open Chrome’s Extensions page, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the folder containing manifest.json.
- Pin Fareof to the toolbar. Open the companion and choose Open LinkedIn, then sign in normally.
- Complete any LinkedIn verification yourself. The current test companion expects LinkedIn in English.
Pair the right account
- In Fareof, choose Generate pairing code.
- Copy the code into the companion and choose Pair signed-in account. Pairing codes expire after ten minutes; generate a new code if needed.
- Check the displayed LinkedIn profile before continuing. It must be the account intended for this workspace.
- When you are ready for eligible LinkedIn work, choose Resume tasks in the companion.
Keep LinkedIn work available
Chrome must remain running, the companion must be resumed, and the computer must stay awake. A paired but offline or paused browser cannot perform LinkedIn tasks. Fareof does not provide fully unattended LinkedIn operation.
Discovery and eligible email activity run on the server. Email steps that depend on LinkedIn wait for the LinkedIn sequence. A browser connection alone does not start a campaign.
If the companion stays offline
Confirm that Chrome is open in the correct profile, the extension is enabled, LinkedIn is signed in, and tasks are resumed. Complete any visible account verification. If pairing expired, generate a fresh code and check the paired profile again. Do not share pairing codes, passwords, or cookies with support.
